Birmingham Trip

Hopewell Christian Academy is planning a trip to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute and the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama March 18, 2011. Parents and students grades 3rd – 11th are welcome to attend. A bus will be chartered for the day. This trip includes a guided tour of the Civil Rights Institute and also a tour of the 16th Street Baptist Church.. More information forthcoming.

 

Annual Black History Program

HCA’s Annual Black History Program is Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 8:30 A.M. in Faith Hall. There will also be an 8:00 P.M. show. The live stage play “Strange Fruit” features the renowned William “Papa” Sheals as Jacob Riggs. The play is written and directed by Eric Ayala and coordinated by Ms. Cynthia Artis. Parents are encouraged to attend.

We are now accepting applications for the 2011—2012 school year. Hopewell Christian Academy, accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission for K4—12th grade, is committed to “Strengthening Christian Values and Reaching Academic Excellence. Don’t miss out on this great learning experience. Secure your child’s space today !

In an effort to make your monthly payments more affordable, we are offering you the option to make 12 payments for the 2011-2012 school year instead of the regular 10 payments plan. The 12 month plan is optional and is being offered to anyone that re-enrolls between now and April 30th. If you have any questions who are interested in enrolling in the 12 month plan, you may contact Lynn Newton @ ext. 1130

The school Clinic is in desperate need of items in the event your child becomes ill or is in need of first aid during school hours. You can find the following items anywhere you buy firstaid supplies.

  • Benadryl Cream , Benadryl liquid, Benadryl tablets, Facial Tissue, Thermometers( Forehead or Ear), Midol, Hand Sanitizer, Wet Ones, Clorox wipes, Zip-loc Bags (sandwich, quart, and gallon), Tylenol tablets (children, Jr. and adult), Motrin Tablets (children, Jr. and adult), Tylenol liquid, Motrin liquid, cough drops, any non drowsy cough and cold medication (liquid and tablets), Thermometer Covers and Orajel (Baby, Jr and Adult)

HCA Basketball (Revised)


Ice Cream Ice Cream

Ice Cream sales are underway. We now have sugar free items. Ice Cream is sold during your child’s lunch period. All items are $1.

 

Weekly Fish Fry. Tilapia is now offered on Wednesday's Fish Fry

The fish fry is held every Wednesday, unless otherwise stated, from 3:30– 7:00 PM in the school cafeteria. The dinner includes fish (Whiting, Cat or Tilapia), fries, salad, and bread. All dinners are $5. Tilapia dinners are $5 for one piece and $7 for two pieces. You may pre order, after 3 PM, by calling the main office.


Below you will find the revised Basketball Game Schedule. Admission is $1.50 for adults and $.50 for students. Concessions will be sold at all home games. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Students enrolled in Eagles Nest must be signed out by parents before attending the games. Please note: dates and times are subject to change.
