School hours for the Academy are 7:50 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Academy office hours are 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. During school hours, you may call the Academy at (770) 903-3387.

All parents are required to sign their child in if the child is dropped off after 7:50 a.m.

All parents are required to sign their child out in the office if the child is picked up before 3:00 p.m. Children are only released to persons authorized by parents on the application. Written notification of changes are required with this request.

Persons bringing and picking up children must be at least 16 years of age.

Visitors:

All parents and visitors must report to the main office immediately upon entering our facilityParents and visitors are always welcome to tour our facility. Again, we do require that you first come by the office.

Parents are welcome to visit their child’s class after the first four weeks of the school year. Prior to this time, you may observe from outside the classroom. To prevent any disruption in classroom activities, we ask that you always come to the office or arrange a conference in advance.

Parking:

When conducting academy business, you are reminded to utilize the Academy parking lot only. Parents are required to park in the lot at all times unless you are dropping off or picking up your child. Driveways cannot be blocked. If you wish to talk to your child’s teacher, please park in the appropriate parking spaces.

Dismissal Procedures:

When circumstances necessitate an early dismissal, parents are required to inform the teacher in the morning and report to the Academy Office to sign-out the student before 2:50PM.

Our school dismissal period begins at 2:55 P.M. and ends at 3:15P.M. Parents/Guardians are not allowed in the building during this time. Please adhere to the following dismissal procedures:

As you approach the campus for dismissal we will service parents with two (2) traffic lanes. You will be directed by HCA staff to your appropriate lane. Please note that the inner lane, closest to the building, will service only K4—first grade students, while the outer lane will service parents who are picking up 2nd—12th grade students. In cases where you have children in both groups, please utilize the outer lane.

Parents are required to remain in their cars during dismissal. HCA staff members will escort your child to your vehicle however, parents are permitted to meet your child at the main entrance. You will need to present your child’s dismissal number to the HCA greeter, and wait until your child is escorted to the front of the Academy. No one is allowed to enter the academy during the dismissal period (2:45 p.m.—3:15 p.m.)

Weather:

K4 classes will play outside every day except in inclement weather. All other students will take P.E. / Health. The Academy will make every effort to be open in case of snow or other bad weather. SHOULD GWINNETT COUNTY SCHOOLS CLOSE, WE WILL ALSO CLOSE. Listen to the radio and TV announcements concerning the Academy.
